Good morning,
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and worship His holy name, for it echoes powerfully on this wondrous day. Rise and walk in the newness of life, giving praise to God for the gift of another day. His new mercies stand at the door of dawn, ready to greet you as you step into this day.
In Genesis 2:2-3, we see that on the seventh day, God rested from all His work. This was not a rest of exhaustion but a pause to admire, celebrate, and bless the work of His hands. He set this day apart as holy, a time to reflect on His goodness and the beauty of creation.
As you continue your fast today, let this seventh day be a reminder to rest in God’s presence and celebrate all He has done in your life. Use this time to thank Him for the victories, big and small, that He has already brought and for the work He is continuing to do. Let your heart be filled with gratitude as you gather in worship, knowing that your fasting and prayers are not in vain.
Encouragement for Today
• Rest doesn’t mean inactivity; it is a holy pause to reflect, worship, and celebrate God’s goodness.
• As you worship today, remember to celebrate the work He has already begun in your life during this fast.
• Thanksgiving opens the door for greater blessings and aligns your heart with God’s.
Prayer Points
1. Thanksgiving for God’s Faithfulness: Reflect on the blessings in your life and give thanks for His provision, guidance, and strength.
2. Worship with a Whole Heart: Ask God to fill your spirit with joy as you worship Him with thanksgiving and praise.
3. Strength for the Journey Ahead: Pray for renewed energy and focus as you continue through the remainder of your fast, trusting Him for what is yet to come.
4. Rest in His Presence: Surrender your burdens and anxieties to Him, allowing His peace to fill your heart.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the gift of rest and reflection. Today, I pause to celebrate Your goodness and the work You are doing in my life. As I worship You, fill my heart with gratitude and joy. Thank You for every breakthrough, every answered prayer, and for the strength to continue this fast. I trust that You are working all things for my good, and I rest in Your presence, knowing that You are faithful. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Go into church today with a heart full of worship and thanksgiving, celebrating the amazing things God has done and will continue to do in your life!
