Day 11 Fasting & Prayer

Good Morning,

“He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.”

As we reach the midpoint of this 21-day fast, it’s important to reflect on the promises of God that give us strength to press forward. Psalm 91:4 reminds us of God’s loving protection. Like a bird sheltering its young, God wraps us in His care, shielding us from harm and guiding us through uncertainty. His truth—His Word and faithfulness—serves as both our shield, defending us from spiritual attacks, and our buckler, securing us as we stand firm in Him.

Fasting can be a time of vulnerability as we deny ourselves and focus on drawing closer to God. However, we are not alone in this journey. Under His wings, we find safety, peace, and strength to endure. For those who are feeling weary, know that God’s strength is made perfect in your weakness. For those new to fasting or hesitant to join, understand that this is an opportunity to experience God’s closeness and His transformative power in your life.

Stay the course, faithful members, knowing that every prayer, every sacrifice, and every moment of seeking God is not in vain. New believers, take heart and step into this moment. Whether it’s a full fast, partial fast, or dedicating time to prayer and worship, God honors every step of faith. Trust Him to meet you exactly where you are and provide all you need.

When the enemy tempts you to give up or doubt, remind yourself of the covering of His feathers and the shield of His truth. Lean on His promises, and trust that this fast is not just about what you’re giving up but about what you’re gaining: deeper intimacy with God, spiritual breakthroughs, and a strengthened faith.

Prayer Points:

 1. Thanksgiving for God’s Protection:

 • Lord, thank You for being our refuge and strength. We praise You for Your faithfulness that covers us like a shield.

 2. Strength to Persevere:

 • Father, grant us the strength to stay committed to this fast. Help us to rely on Your power when we feel weak and to keep our eyes fixed on You.

 3. Encouragement for New Participants:

 • Lord, stir the hearts of those who are new to fasting. Give them the courage to step forward in faith and to trust in Your guidance and provision.

 4. Spiritual Breakthroughs:

 • God, let this time of fasting and prayer bring breakthroughs in our personal lives, families, and church. Break every chain and renew our spirits.

 5. Unity in the Church:

 • Father, unite us as a body of believers during this fast. Help us to encourage one another, pray for one another, and grow stronger together.

Lord, we thank You for Your unfailing love and protection. As we continue this fast, cover us with Your feathers and give us the faith to trust in You completely. Let Your truth guide us, guard us, and sustain us. We declare that every step of this journey is for Your glory, and we trust You for all that is yet to come. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Encourage a friend or family member to join you for the remaining days of the fast. Share this verse and remind them that God’s protection and truth are for everyone who seeks Him.
