2026 Prayer & Fasting - Week 2 Day 1

Updated: Jan 28

Good morning!

Week one of our 21 days of Prayer & Fasting is behind us and so we are greatful for this achievement. You’re doing well. Trust and believe that the worst is behind you, it actually gets easier from here. Great is our God! To Him we ascribe all glory, honor and praise.

Speaking of…as we step into Week Two of our fast, we turn our focus to praise and worship—the sacred doorway through which God’s presence is welcomed among His people. Yet we must acknowledge an urgent reality: authentic worship is under attack. Much of modern gospel music has drifted from devotion to performance, from reverence to entertainment, from God-centered praise to self-centered display. Many artists now sing for platforms, popularity, and personal glory rather than from consecrated hearts. Today we intercede for divine intervention — that God would remove every barrier hindering true worship and restore purity, passion, and purpose to gospel music and worship culture.

True worship is not about talent alone — it is about submission. It requires reverence, spiritual order, humility, and a willingness to serve rather than shine. In the local church, including our own, praise teams and worship leaders must move in unity, structure, and collaboration, functioning not as soloists competing for attention, but as vessels synchronized in spirit and vision. When worshippers are aligned — heart, voice, and purpose — the atmosphere shifts, chains break, and God’s glory fills the room.

This is also a call to the congregation. Worship is not a spectator moment; it is a collective offering. Every voice matters. Every lifted hand matters. Every surrendered heart matters. When the church participates fully, worship moves from stage to sanctuary, from performance to presence. Today we pray for new worshippers to arise — young voices, fresh gifts, undiscovered leaders — stirred by the Spirit and committed to authenticity over applause.

So on this day, we cry out: Let every barrier be removed — barriers of pride, insecurity, disunity, distraction, and performance-driven worship. May God restore holy fire to our singers, musicians, leaders, and congregations. May our churches once again become houses of true worship, where God is honored, hearts are healed, and His presence is unmistakable. May your worship be about him, because of Him and for Him. May God be the sole audience of your song.

Prayer:

Let every barrier be removed in Jesus’ name. Restore authentic worship in our churches. Unite worship leaders and teams. Give new musical revelations to them to inspire creativity and diversity in what they offer to you. Rekindle reverence, submission, and holy passion. Raise new worshippers and anointed leaders. May all we do bring glory to You alone. Amen.

Stay authentic,
