2026 Prayer & Fasting - Day 7

Good morning,

You’ve made it to the end of week 1 of our 21 day Fast. Congratulations, what an accomplishment! While we still have some distance to go, celebrate the small wins. Destination occupys our visual in the windshield but accomplishment is watching you from the rearview. Let what you’ve already achieved inspire what you can achieve. This is what faith is, the substance of things we hope for, and the evidence of what we have not yet seen. However, faith requires trust. And this is where we say: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

As we reach Day 7 of our fast, God calls us to this vital posture: faithfulness. It is one thing to start well, but it is another to stay the course. Faithfulness to God means trusting Him even when the path is unclear, serving even when strength feels low, praying even when answers seem delayed, and believing even when circumstances resist. Today’s scripture reminds us that direction comes to those who keep trusting. The prayer “Direct my path, Lord” is the cry of a heart determined not to quit.

Faithfulness must show itself in every sphere of our lives. Faithful to God in worship and obedience. Faithful in serving His Church with consistency, not convenience. Faithful to our loved ones in patience, presence, and prayer. Faithful to the discipline of fasting and prayer, refusing to abandon spiritual pursuit when life grows uncomfortable. In a culture that celebrates quick exits and easy options, God honors those who endure.

Today we pray for a tenacious spirit — a holy stubbornness that refuses to surrender to discouragement. Challenges will arise, weariness will whisper, distractions will call, but victory belongs to those who remain steadfast. Faithfulness is not loud; it is steady. It is the quiet determination that says, “I will trust God until the breakthrough comes. I will serve until the assignment is complete. I will believe until the promise is fulfilled.”

As we close out week one to begin the next, may God direct our paths, strengthen our resolve, and seal in us a don’t-give-up spirit. Let faithfulness become our testimony — to God, to His Church, to our families, and to the calling He has placed on our lives.

Prayer:

Direct my path, Lord. Strengthen my faithfulness to You, to Your Church, and to those You’ve entrusted to me. Give me a tenacious spirit, unwavering trust, and endurance to stay the course until victory is attained. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Stay faithful,
