2026 Prayer & Fasting - Day 6

Good morning,

As we come to Day 6 of our fast, we thank God for sustaining us to this point. If you have been on the journey with us, be proud of yourself for making it to the end of the week. How do you feel? What have you learned so far? Praise God for the revelations received and for his great love and mercy shown thus far in your fast.

Fasting reveals that human strength is limited, but divine strength is unlimited. When we wait on the Lord, He does not merely restore what we have lost — He renews us with fresh spiritual energy, vision, and resolve. Today’s prayer, “Renew my strength as I wait on You,” is a declaration that our endurance is not self-produced but God-supplied.

This renewal is deeply connected to the Church. God never designed believers to walk alone; strength is multiplied in community. The Church is Christ’s body on earth — the place where faith is nurtured, burdens are shared, truth is proclaimed, and hope is kept alive in a weary world. In a time when many treat church as optional or occasional, Scripture reminds us that spiritual endurance is tied to remaining planted in God’s house. A disconnected believer weakens; a committed believer flourishes. So don’t listen to the noise around you saying that church is not relevant or necessary, it is. God said so.

Continuing on the theme of our last devotional, today we pray for the Church universal — that she may rise in courage, compassion, and conviction. We also pray for our local church family — that God would strengthen leaders, restore the weary, and ignite fresh passion for mission. The Church is not just a building; it is a movement of people called to carry Christ’s light into dark places. The world needs a strong Church, and the Church needs strong, committed believers.

So let this this day of our fast renew our commitment — not only to God, but to His house. May we support the Church with our time, serving faithfully; our talents, offering our gifts; and our treasure, giving generously. As God renews our strength, may we rise with endurance, remain steadfast in fellowship, and stand as living witnesses of His power.

Prayer:

Renew our strength, Lord, as we wait on You. Strengthen Your Church. Unite Your people. Help us remain committed in time, talent, and treasure. Let us soar in faith, stand in endurance, and shine in purpose. Amen.

Stay committed,
